all that is very well written and I liked it a lot Terrain, conditions and movement chapter is very evocative with descriptions and wilderness Landing. Starvation and thirst rules are exactly what I've been looking for and have used in other game systems for many years. Scanners and searches plug a hole that's been open for many years.Īnd I liked the gravity and pressure and underwater rules especially if I'm using a product like the old book 6 scouts or the grand survey or World Builders guidebook to really give some flavor to the adventure without going too deep into the science. Material destruction and combat mishaps were nice as optional material. Mundane events is a nice nod to speeding up the narrative, and the ammunition checks seem to be inspired by the old Palladium / RPG Inc, "Recon: Vietnam role playing game" ammo check which is pretty good. I like that a lot of thought was put into the disabling wounds and they hit locations and I can see how these will add greatly for the hard SF / gritty referee. I tried to make this a review but the review link was not working and said I should buy the product which I already have here so I don't understand why that's not working. I like the new careers a lot and I think it's well worth the money $29. See more their time on a scale check so I thought that using characteristic bonus and skill points relevant to the skills in that area is a good solution attempt with elements of numenera and one ring. I thought the narrative rules were a good nod to things like The Cypher system, I've had players in the past complain that there was no way to affect the narrative other than taking. I'm not trying to nitpick here but D&D 5e laid all these out pretty clearly and Traveller has been around for 40-something years I've been a referee since 1977 so why wasn't this clarified in this book that we've been waiting for months? Similarly what is the intent with respect to using three characteristics. It's really not clear how disabling wounds should or would interface with the pit locations option are these supposed to be two different systems as optional plugins or how they combine because they seem to use different numbers and values and thresholds. pretty sure the intent for the last paragraph in the right-hand column is to insert the word "determined". Overall I'm liking these options although there are some minor points.
